Reflecting on Growth: The University Honors Program’s Senior Portfolio Project

To highlight the importance of reflection in personal, professional, and academic growth, the University Honors Program (UHP) has introduced the senior portfolio project. Since its pilot in the Spring of 2022, 83 graduating seniors have submitted digital portfolios as the final step toward earning University Honors Program recognition upon graduation.  
Honors students presented their final projects during an end-of-semester CBRL banquet, which included both campus and community partners.

The Honors Program’s Community-Based Research Lab: The Pack Giving Back

A research model where the needs of a community are prioritized – providing nonprofits and populations in need with the opportunity to share their stories, have their voices heard, and contribute to the outcomes of academic research that will directly impact their lives - this is the premise of community-based participatory research.

Every May and December, during each of its graduating senior recognition ceremonies, the University Honors Program (UHP) recognizes one or more students from the graduating cohort that have exhibited a significant commitment to the University Honors Program (and former University Scholars Program) and its students.

Exposing students to a wide variety of opportunities, events and activities meant to challenge predetermined perspectives and widen worldviews is one of the things the University Honors Program (UHP) does best.

The University Honors Program’s Richard L. Blanton Outstanding Capstone Award recognizes exceptional work by a University Honors Program student and encourages the highest levels of undergraduate scholarship and research at NC State.

Honors Program Student Spotlight: Krupa Bharodiya

This month, Honors Program student and Obama-Chesky Voyager Scholarship for Public Service recipient Krupa Bharodiya graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and minors in Environmental Science and Political Science.
