Despite her diagnosis of breast cancer and mastectomy surgery during the last year, Hakima Harris earned her undergraduate degree, completed extensive research on Castilian language, and maintained a high GPA while also juggling personal responsibilities as a wife and mother.

Payne Receives Udall Scholarship

NC State junior Pippin Payne is one of 55 students in the nation to receive a 2020 Udall Scholarship. Payne is a double major in mechanical engineering and religious studies and is minoring in business administration.

Poston Named a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Hollings Scholar

Sophomore Anna Poston has been admitted into the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Ernest F. Hollings scholarship program. For the program, Poston has been awarded academic assistance for two years of full-time study and a 10-week, full-time paid internship at a NOAA facility next summer.
