2022 Spirit of the Village Award Winners Recognized
The award is given to residents in Living and Learning Villages who embody the true spirit of their village and exemplify the characteristics, ideals and qualities of that community.
On Friday, April 1, University Housing and NC State’s Living and Learning Villages recognized its 2022 Kay Yow Spirit of the Village Award recipients.
The Kay Yow Spirit of the Village Award, established in 2008, was named in honor of the late Coach Kay Yow, who coined the “Village” moniker. The award is given to student participants in the various village communities who embody the true spirit of the village and exemplify the characteristics, ideals and qualities of that community.
Beginning in 2020, in recognition of the collective effort of its partners in promoting the success of the village program, University Housing recognizes not only student participants, but faculty, staff and campus units that help villages realize their mission, impact students through innovative experiential learning opportunities and experiences and help to create a safe space in the community where students can realize their full potential.
