Congratulations, University Scholars Program Graduates!
The University Honors Program recognizes its spring 2023 graduates from the University Scholars Program.
The staff of the University Honors Program wishes to extend its congratulations to the University Scholars Program graduating class of 2023! You’ve worked hard to achieve your goals at NC State and we wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.
Although the University Scholars Program unified in name with the University Honors Program last fall, program staff will continue to recognize Scholars Program graduates with the recognition of their own program and its requirements for as long as those students are enrolled at the university.
A big shout out also goes to Emma Johnson for speaking on behalf and in encouragement of her fellow graduates during the Senior Recognition Ceremony for Scholars Program graduates on May 2! During this ceremony, Emma was also recognized for earning the Alex Miller Outstanding Student Award, which recognizes the graduating program participant who has exhibited a significant commitment to the Scholars Program and its students, someone who has had a real impact on the program and left it better. Named for the founding director of the original University Scholars Program, the Alex Miller award will continue to recognize the graduating seniors who best embody the mission and spirit of the program.
To graduate from the University Scholars Program with Scholars Recognition, students admitted to the program prior to the fall 2022 semester have to complete the following criteria:
- Three semesters of Forum
- Twelve credit hours of approved advanced coursework
- A minimum of three high impact experiences
- Maintain a GPA of 3.25 or higher for the duration of their college career
