The Division of Academic and Student Affairs is pleased to announce its new Internal Connections newsletter. The new digital publication will arrive in division employees’ email inboxes every week, starting this week.

Internal Connections was created in response to employee feedback in a recent DASA Marketing and Communications survey, and the content will be catered specifically to faculty and staff across the division. The changes are intended to increase readership and engagement as well as foster a greater sense of community — and connection — between the many employees and units within the division.

What’s Inside

The Internal Connections newsletter’s primary goal is to be a helpful resource and to provide faculty and staff in the Division of Academic and Student Affairs opportunities to regularly connect and engage with one another. Each edition will include a Recent Headlines section for news about faculty, staff and departments within the division. It will also include human resources updates like a recurring list of new hires, job openings, professional development opportunities and employee awards and recognitions. Additionally, there will be a recurring Photo of the Month and Question of the Week feature that readers can engage with each week.

What Happened to DASA Connections?

The current DASA Connections newsletter has evolved into an external newsletter that focuses on sharing news from the division with the larger university community as well as donors and alumni. The appearance and content will remain mostly the same, featuring events, student stories and departmental updates, but it will only be distributed monthly on the first Thursday of each month. As an employee of the division, you will continue to receive this newsletter as well as Internal Connections.

Give Us Your Feedback

Whether you love our new newsletter or have suggestions for how to make it better, we want to hear from you! In the coming weeks, you will receive a survey where you can share your thoughts and ideas for the newsletter as well as general questions and feedback about recent happenings in the division.
