World Suicide Prevention Day Vigil Planned

The NC State community will join together in remembering those who have been lost to suicide and increasing campus awareness of suicide prevention on September 10, 2016, coinciding with World Suicide Prevention Day.

From 5:30 p.m. – 6:45 p.m., stop by to help paint the Free Expression Tunnel, learn the warning signs of suicide and how to help, and sign up for opportunities.

At 7:00 p.m. there will be a vigil on Stafford Commons outside of Talley Student Union. Community and campus members will speak. A screening of the What’s Your Story film produced by the NC State Counseling Center will also occur, followed by an open mic. Candles will be lit at 8 p.m. and followed by three minutes of silence.
