Student Media Newspaper Advisory Board Meetings Scheduled
Student Media's newspaper advisory board is scheduled to meet the week of Feb. 15 to interview student editor-in-chief candidates.
The newspaper advisory board will meet via Google Meet on Wednesday, Feb. 17 at 6 p.m. to interview Nubian Message editor-in-chief candidate Andrea Alford. The advisory board includes media industry and other professionals, members of the Student Media Board of Directors, the current Technician and Nubian Message editors and their editorial adviser.
The newspaper advisory board will meet again via Google Meet on Thursday, Feb. 18 at 6 p.m. to interview three candidates for Technician editor-in-chief. Caryl Espinoza Jaen, Jaylan Harrington and Tristan Tucker have all applied for the newspaper’s top leadership role.
The newspaper advisory board will make a recommendation to the full Student Media Board of Directors at its March 2 meeting to hire a candidate, hire with conditions or reopen applications. The Student Media Board will then make final hiring decisions.
