Staff Recognized for Advocacy and Inclusion Efforts

On July 21st, Assistant Director of Conference and Guest Services Lynne Barbour was recognized by the Alliance for Disability Advocates for her advocacy and determination to create an inclusive environment for all campus guests.

Additionally, the Conference & Guest Services office received a Triangle Access Award for Outstanding Achievement in Removing Architectural Barriers on the NC State campus.  The Conference & Guest Services office has worked collaboratively with University Housing staff and the Campus Life Facilities team to make changes that have created a more welcoming environment for guests with disabilities.  Changes include access ramps, bathroom renovations, and modifications to residence hall rooms.
