DASA Assessment is excited to share the data from the spring 2023 First Term Survey (FTS). The survey was administered to all first-year and transfer undergraduate students in their first semester at NC State. The FTS collected responses from Feb. 20 through March 24, 2023.
The survey prompted students to share their experiences regarding Winter Welcome Week programming, acclimating to NC State, advising, counseling, academic support, sense of community and more.
For the first time, DASA Assessment is also reporting participants’ responses to the open-ended questions! It is recommended to first read the Qualitative Analysis Report before reading through the open-ended comments. The Qualitative Analysis Report provides information on the overall themes that DASA Assessment staff identified from the open-ended responses. This report may be helpful in determining the specific survey questions where data is most relevant to specific interests or to a unit’s work.
