Robin Harris receives 2014 NCDA Annual Award for significant lifetime contributions to dance in North Carolina

Each year, the North Carolina Dance Alliance (NCDA) presents the NCDA Annual Award to honor individuals who have made significant lifetime contributions to the growth and development of dance in our state. Nominations are submitted from the greater dance community, and the NCDA Board of Directors selects an award recipient from these nominations.

The 2014 NCDA Annual Award will be presented to Robin Harris on November 22, 2014 at the NCDA Community Event, a daylong event featuring classes and workshops as well as a statewide community meeting and luncheon to be held at the Durham School of the Arts.

As director of the NC State Dance Program and artistic director of the NCSU Dance Company, Robin Harris mentors student choreographers and teaches dance composition.
