If you are planning to attend an NC State football game and do not have a parking permit or feel like sitting in traffic to pay to park, consider riding the Red Terror. It’s a free bus service that’s open to the public and supported by the athletic department.
“We are very excited to bring back Red Terror for the 2022-2023 academic year,” said Transit Manager Connor Jones. “The strong partnership between NC State Athletics and NC State Transportation is key to providing this very popular service on gamedays.”
The service starts 3 hours before kick-off and the pick-up location is on Cates Ave. at the Witherspoon Student Center on NC State’s campus. The buses will run continuously throughout the game with service ending 90 minutes after the game ends.
“Red Terror is always very popular and has diverted many single occupant vehicle trips to the stadium to more sustainably efficient public transit,” said Jones.
As a reminder, no containers are allowed on any Red Terror bus. Each person is allowed to bring one personal bag and it must be carried at all times. Keep in mind that there is a clear bag policy in place at football games.
