NC State Students raise over $260,000 for Children’s Hospitals

What started as a dare between a few NC State students in 2004, has grown into one of the state’s largest fundraising efforts for children’s hospitals. The 2015 Krispy Kreme Challenge raised $195,000 for the North Carolina Children’s Hospital. The 11-year cumulative total for the event is $953,000. The Wolfpack looks to shatter the $1 million mark next year.

Dance Marathon is held at over 250 schools across the nation and culminates its yearlong effort with a 12-40 hour long event with the students staying on their feet through dancing, games, and entertainment. NC State danced past its goal of $50,000 at its February 28 – March 1 event.Dance Marathon NC State garnered over $67,000 for the Duke Children’s Hospital and Health Center. Every dancer was asked to raise $100 for the kids at Duke.

Efforts like these continue to show our students’ global awareness and make NC State a shining example of philanthropy for campuses everywhere.
