Packapalooza™ Returns to Pack Hillsborough Street

Packapalooza™ returns on Saturday, Aug. 26, from 2 to 10 p.m. to cap off Wolfpack Welcome Week with a bang. Thousands of NC State students, faculty, staff, alums, families and members of the local community will pack Hillsborough Street once again to revel in a day filled with music, entertainment, family-friendly activities and everything that embodies the Wolfpack spirit. 

A hallmark tradition, this all-day block party and street festival kicks off the academic year with an eclectic mix of live music and performances across multiple stages featuring a performance by musical headliner David Cook – winner of season seven of “American Idol” – and a grand finale of fireworks and a laser light show.

Hillsborough Street will be bustling with more than 300 vendor booths, showcasing an array of services, activities, merchants and more. In past years, Packapalooza™ has seen the enthusiastic participation of over 85,000 attendees, and this year promises to be even more electrifying.
