Through work with the LGBTQ Pride Center, African American Cultural Center and Multicultural Student Affairs, they have helped countless NC State students find their communities.

At NC State, Special Olympics North Carolina Unified Sports are offered, with flag football in the fall and basketball in the spring. Special Olympics North Carolina brings athletes to NC State, who participate in these sports alongside student partners.

April 22 marks the world’s 55th Earth Day. The theme of Earth Day 2025 is: Our Power, Our Planet, and NC State’s Earth Fair kicked off the campus’ Earth Day celebrations early on April 9.

Emily Peedin wins Student Media’s Phillips Award for General Excellence

Emily Peedin is the recipient of the Dean Phillips Award for General Excellence for the 2024-2025 academic year. This is the top award within Student Media for students who show leadership and passion for student journalism.

The Nubian Message, Student Media Members Recognized at 2025 Ebony Harlem Awards

The Nubian Message received the top organizational honor at the 2025 Ebony Harlem Awards for Excellence. Awarded the Umoja Student Organization/Club Impact Award, The Nubian Message was honored for its commitment to serving the NC State community.
