NC State Participates in Exercise is Medicine On-Campus Month

Throughout the month of October, University Recreation, along with several campus partners have scheduled a variety of events that promote physical activity and well-being, in celebration of Exercise is Medicine on Campus (EIM-OC) Month.

The complete schedule can be viewed here.

This month-long celebration culminates with a special event held on Stafford Commons, outside of the Talley Student Union, on Thursday, October 22 from 3-5 P.M. Representatives from University Recreation, Student Health, and University Dining will be available to provide students with information and resources to engage in a healthy lifestyle and improve overall physical fitness.

Exercise is Medicine (EIM) is an initiative co-launched by the American Medical Association (AMA) and the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), which advocates the proven benefits of physical activity on overall health and well-being. NC State University launched EIM-OC in the Fall 2014 Semester, and has provided assistance to more than 35 students, through collaborations with Student Health, University Recreation, and the Counseling Center.
