Michele Kurtz Earns Highest Doctoral Student Honor at UNCG
The interim director of Student Leadership and Engagement at NC State has been named a Minerva Scholar.
Michele Kurtz, interim director for Student Leadership and Engagement, has been recognized as a Minerva Scholar, which is the highest honor a doctoral student can receive from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. Minerva Scholars are selected based on academic potential, record of achievement and work/life experiences.
Kurtz is currently a Ph.D. student studying educational studies with a concentration in higher education, and her research interests include identifying equity-centered practices to combat employee attrition and increase employee engagement in student affairs. This April, Kurtz will present her research and promising practices at the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) National Conference in Boston, Mass.
