March is Pre-Health Month at NC State — a month-long series supporting students at every stage of their journey to health professional school and careers. Whether exploring pre-health pathways or preparing to apply this cycle, students can attend Career Development Center workshops that provide practical guidance, insider insight and meaningful connections with health professionals from across the country.

“Pre-Health Month is really about making sure students have the information and support they need to make informed decisions about their next steps,” said Hannah Jaegers, assistant director of Pre-Professional Advising. “We want students to leave these sessions with a clearer understanding of the process and what they can be doing now to prepare so they can position themselves as competitive candidates.”

Below is a look at this year’s events:

Application Preparation Workshop

To kick off Pre-Health Month, this comprehensive workshop will cover what it means to be a strong applicant, application timelines, crafting a compelling personal statement, preparing for entrance exams and more. If you are applying this cycle — or even considering applying in the coming years — this session will help set you on the right path. The program is open to students of all class years and majors.

2026 Health Professions Fair

The Health Professions Fair is a signature event of Pre-Health Month. With over 80 employers in attendance, this is a great opportunity to ask questions, and make meaningful connections.

Interview Preparation Workshop

Pre-Health Month culminates with an Interview Preparation Workshop designed to help students navigate the final stage of the admissions process.
