Night one starts with Das Drip, Real Dad, Max Gowan and headliner Kate Rhudy. Moon Racer kicks off night two, following with Housefire, M8alla, and headliner Young Bull.

“Double Barrel is such a great way to experience and enjoy local music,” said Liz Maynard, WKNC’s Afterhours Music Director. “The variety in genre allows for a good time no matter your personal music preference.”

Since its birth in 2004, Double Barrel has become a signature event in the Triangle and provides eight percent of the station’s annual income.

“General manager Jules Conlon began planning for this event in September, so it’s always exciting to see it come together in February,” said Jamie Lynn Gilbert, WKNC adviser. “Once the lineup is set, a lot of work goes into making everything happen. Whether it’s designing posters or adding music to rotation or announcing the event on air, the WKNC staff puts in a lot of effort to make DBB a success.”

Tickets are on sale now at wknc.org/dbb16. Prices are $13 in advance and $15 the day of the show. Two-night passes are available for $22. All proceeds benefit WKNC. The event is all ages. Doors for each show open at 8 p.m. with music at 8:30 p.m.

WKNC 88.1 FM HD-1/HD-2 is 25,000-watt student-run non-commercial radio from North Carolina State University featuring indie rock, electronic, metal and underground hip-hop.
