Juntos Program Remains Focused on Mission

Dear stakeholders, partners, and friends,

The mission of the Juntos Program is to help Latino students achieve high school graduation and attend higher education. We do this by uniting community partners to provide Latino 8-12th grade students and their parents the knowledge, skills, and necessary resources to prevent youth from dropping out of school, and encouraging families to work together to gain access to college.

The September 5th announcement that the federal government will be ending the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program has generated concern among many youth and families across the state the nation. While details surrounding this decision and possible congressional action remain uncertain, Juntos remains focused on serving all of our students and families to deliver on the promise of our mission.

We believe in the talents, strength, knowledge, and resilience of all Juntos youth and want to reaffirm that each and every one is a valued member of the Juntos community. We are committed to providing a safe space where all are welcome and will make no changes to our policies or program as we continue to support and serve the youth and families in North Carolina and across the country.
