Introducing GPS Mobile

By: Tahirah Siddiqui

Student Success GPS launched in 2015 with a commitment to improving advising services through analytics and workflow functionality.

It promotes continuity of care through proactive advising and identification of students in need of additional support. GPS offers centralized advising notes and reporting systems to keep a record of student activity in advising and other support services. This simplifies communications among advisors, faculty, and campus staff. Advisors can use analytics, advanced searches, and appointment campaigns to proactively identify students who need additional support. Access to these time-saving technologies allows campus advisors to focus their efforts on improving student success.

Student Success GPS also makes advising appointments, from front-desk operations to student scheduling, more efficient for everyone. For students, the benefit of using GPS includes easy appointment scheduling for advising, tutoring, and campus resources. This helps to encourage more students to utilize the many resources available to them.

Now, we are excited to announce the companion app “GPS Mobile” will officially launch this summer for first-year students, and this fall for returning students.

Until now, GPS was strictly a web-based platform. Now, we are excited to announce the companion app “GPS Mobile” will officially launch this summer for first-year students, and this fall for returning students. Provost Arden and Dean Mullen state, “GPS Mobile is a student-centered app that provides personalized and timely information, access to campus resources, appointment scheduling and many other features.”

An integrated part of GPS, GPS Mobile is a mobile application that helps students navigate key decision points throughout the college journey. GPS Mobile frees up advisor capacity by empowering students to resolve issues independently while connecting them to the right offices for issues that require more intensive support.  Click here to learn more about the many features available through the mobile app.
