Food Bank Of Central & Eastern Carolina recognizes NC State as Top 10 Volunteer

“No One Goes Hungry” is the inspiring mission of the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina. Each year, Food Bank CENC depends on countless volunteers and donations to help maintain branches in Durham, Greenville, New Bern, Raleigh, Sandhill and Wilmington. On Tuesday, NC State University was named among the Top 10 Volunteer Partners for the organization dedicated to fighting homelessness and hunger.

The generosity of those who grow and sell food, as well as the strong financial support of the community helps Food Bank CENC serve North Carolinians in a 34-county service area. Over 800 partner agencies make operating soup kitchens, food pantries, homeless shelters, school programs, senior centers and more possible for the organization, which was the fist of its kind in the state.
