First Year College Welcomes New Advisor

The Division of Academic and Student Affairs is pleased to welcome Joseph Rehder, the newest addition to the advising staff of the First Year College.

Joe hails from Broadalbin, NY and is joining us from the University of Virginia. He received a B.S. in Sport Management from SUNY Cortland and a M.S. in Sport Administration from Marshall University.

In his new role, Joe will provide advising services for students enrolled in the First Year College, and will also teach four sections of Introduction to University Education. His favorite aspect of working with students is having the opportunity to learn about their diverse backgrounds, and he takes particular pride in helping them find avenues that will allow them to pursue their passions.

In his spare time, Joe likes to stay active: he enjoys golfing, running, bike riding, and playing golf, basketball, and softball. He also likes to attend concerts and sporting events.
