Scholars Forum: Mohammad Moussa – Shattered Glass

Mohammad Moussa’s multimedia and spoken word performance honors the memory of Deah Shaddy Barakat, Deah’s wife, Yusor Mohammad, and her sister, Razan Mohammad Abu-Salha, members of the Wolfpack community who were killed in Chapel Hill in 2015.  In this powerful performance, Moussa reflects on how communities confront grief in the wake of tragedy, and how the narrative of minority communities is shaped by the media and other entertainment outlets.
