Det 595 Alternative Spring Break

Det 595 Alternative Spring Break

On March 7-10, Det 595 cadets travelled to Hurlburt Field, and Tyndall AFB, Florida, where they got the chance to explore different career options and experience life on base. At Hurlburt Field, the future officers had the opportunity to meet Force Support Officers, Maintenance Officers, Cyber Officers, and Security Forces Officers. They toured a new AC-130J Gunship and talked with its crew. The cadets explored the equipment used at the Security Forces Squadron and then got the chance to run through Hurlburt Field’s base ninja warrior course.

At Tyndall AFB, the cadets received a brief from the base commander, Colonel Hernandez. Afterwards, they explored the Air Battle Manager schoolhouse, and visited the AFNORTH Air Operations Center. They had the incredible opportunity to view an F-22 up close and speak with it’s pilot.
