DASA Departmental Moves – Updates for Everyone (Even if you are not moving!)

If You Are NOT Moving Next Week

Just a quick note to let you know that we appreciate your patience while the entire DASA Tech team is occupied with the moves happening next week. Please continue to send your tech needs and help requests to your departmental Get Help address as usual. Unless your situation is critical, it may take a bit longer for us to respond, so please be sure to note if it rises to that level.

If You Are Moving Next Week

  • If you would like a new keyboard and/or mouse, we have a number of these devices available. Just place a sticky note on the device you want to replace after we have your equipment broken down, and go ahead and pack it up. We’ll make the swap as we get you setup in the new location…first come, first serve. Some of you are getting new desktops soon, so you’ll get new keyboards/mice as part of that setup.
  • Your phones will be part of the tech break down. We neglected to mention this clearly in our earlier documentation. Phones are powered by an ethernet cable, and those will be bundled up as part of our break down process. Please plan on alternative means of communication as needed.
  • Laptops will NOT be part of the tech break down, unless they are your primary machine with a wired connection. You can just pack those as you wish along with your other office items.
  • This is a great opportunity to clean your tech equipment. Please wipe down what you can before we breakdown your equipment, and then finish up after we’ve got all the components gathered and organized.
  • How to contact DASA Tech during the move – there are several options.
    • Use your departmental Get Help address.
    • Look for anyone wearing a DASA Tech shirt; student workers have black t-shirts with the DASA logo.
    • Come find us at 4321 Talley, directly opposite the elevator, our headquarters on Tuesday and Wednesday.
