Career Ambassadors Ready to Motivate Peers to Success in their Careers

Our new team of 20 Career Ambassadors is eager to share their knowledge and expertise with other students! A new professional development course was recently approved for Ambassador training. The course teaches Ambassadors the key career readiness competencies as identified by employers. Ambassadors then share what they have learned with their peers.

Faculty can request a program for a class or student group, and students can attend the Professional LAUNCH Series. Last year 963 students attended LAUNCH which kicks off on September 14th at 4:30 PM in the Talley Ballroom with a Professional Dress Fashion show sponsored by Macy’s. If you have wondered about how to dress for the following real world situations, all of your questions will be answered!

Learn more about the LAUNCH series and see dates and times.

  • Business casual in a relaxed company culture
  • Professional in a formal company culture
  • Friday casual in a conservative company culture

During the Spring 2015 semester, our Ambassadors presented to over 250 students at 15 different events, including residence hall programs, sorority and fraternity chapter meetings, classes, and other campus programs.
