Crafting Skills and Confidence

For Honors Village students Ashli-Cole Barclay and Riddhi Mishra, the 20-hour MetaSkill Challenge was more than just a High Impact Experience (HIE); it was a journey of self-directed learning, creativity, and personal growth.

Reflecting on Growth: The University Honors Program’s Senior Portfolio Project

To highlight the importance of reflection in personal, professional, and academic growth, the University Honors Program (UHP) has introduced the senior portfolio project. Since its pilot in the Spring of 2022, 83 graduating seniors have submitted digital portfolios as the final step toward earning University Honors Program recognition upon graduation.  

Honors students presented their final projects during an end-of-semester CBRL banquet, which included both campus and community partners.

Student Media wins Third Excellence in Assessment Award

NC State Student Media was one of 12 departments to earn the Division of Academic and Student Affairs’ Excellence in Assessment award. Now in its fourth year, the award is given to DASA units that demonstrate best practices in their annual assessment reports. To be considered, a unit must receive an “exemplary” score in at least 85% of dimensions on a common rubric.
