Aaron Kopp receives Frank Ormond Scholarship
The Division of Academic and Student Affairs and Health and Exercise Studies is pleased to announce Aaron Kopp as the recipient of the 2015-2016 Frank Ormond Scholarship. Aaron is pursuing a major in Nutrition Science with a minor in Sport Science and plans to attend medical school, specializing in the treatment and prevention of sports related injuries. Aaron is very active in the Wolfpack community as he is a member of the Sport Management Club and a Student Athletic Trainer for the NC State football team. Aaron’s academic record, positive attitude and commitment in our program make him a worthy recipient for this year’s scholarship award. Congratulations Aaron!
For 24 years, Frank Ormond III served as an associate professor in the then Physical Education Department. Ormond devoted much of his time to the then named Physical Education Minor Program. In 2007, the Frank Ormond Scholarship was established. It provides a yearly scholarship to a student in the Health and Exercise Studies Minor Program who emulate Frank’s devotion to the physical education profession.
