WKNC General Manager Named to National Board

Laura Mooney, a third-year student studying social work and the general manager for the campus radio station WKNC 88.1 FM HD-1/HD-2, was elected to a one-year term on the College Broadcasters, Inc. (CBI) Board of Directors.

CBI is a national, member-driven organization serving students and advisers of college and high school electronic media outlets across the country. Mooney will begin their term on May 1 as the board’s student representative and serve alongside six professional media advisers. The organization hosts the annual National Student Electronic Media Convention, a student production awards contest, and advocates on behalf of student electronic media.
