2FA for Google Generics in DASA

Many DASA staff have received automated notifications today about enabling Google 2-Step Verification on Google Generics.

There is no need for action at this time.

DASA Tech has been testing a variety of options to work with different use cases, and Tech Strategic Leads will be reaching out to each unit later in August on getting this all in place. Setting up 2FA on Generics is tricky, and gets complicated quickly, so we want to approach this carefully.

Again, there is no need for any action to setup 2 factor authentication on Google Generic accounts at this time. We know that’s counter to all the messaging that’s been pushed about 2FA in general, but we appreciate you patience while we finalize our plans for each of your units.
